K Raghavendra Rao needs no introduction for Telugu people. He entered the film industry by directing 'Babu' that has Sobhan Babu in the main lead. That film was a mjor success and he never looked back. He is instrumental in elevating the career, image and box-office potential of lots of heroes and heroines. He also showed his prowess in Hindi by directing box-office hits like Himmatwala and Tofah.
There is a misconception among the audiences that he is just a commercial director. He also made feminine oriented films like Jyoti, Aame Katha and Kalpana. He also made inspirational films like Trishulam. And one can never forget the Annamayya, a great divine film in the modern era. Other divine film Manjunatha is getting ready for the release now.
