Freedom for the telugu people by Swecha



Swecha is a project aimed for the Telugu version of GNU/Linux. This is open source for the freedom of OS and it is developed by many people in world. You can help them Swecha - GNU/Linux Telugu Localization - http://www.swecha.org/. All the option were in telugu front and the work is almost completed.

Translation of files: There is a team being set up to srutinise the translations and submit them to the repository. The tanslation of files is being done with a co-ordination from people who geographically at different places.

The first release :. they chose the basic applications needed by a user and translated the applications along with the basic user interface, and the test release was done on 08-02-05 by the Honorable Chief Minister of AP Dr Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy in the presence of the Free Software Foundation founder and chairman Richard M Stallman.

You can also download the OS from the Site it is free. the second option is that request for CD and there is no need of installation the OS . it will directly run from CD.

Telugu is emerging in a big way.
